BP Pulse, a part of BP's global EV charging business, announced the opening of its new EV charging hub in Houston. “Located near the William P. Hobby Airport, this launch further demonstrates the company’s ongoing efforts to provide convenient and reliable EV charging options across the United States,” the retailer told NACS.
BP said the location features 40 ultrafast EV charging bays equipped with 150kW DC fast chargers and is designed to meet the needs of ride-hail drivers, airport rental car customers and local EV drivers. The site also features a covered canopy and free Wi-Fi.
To celebrate the new hub, BP Pulse will hold a launch event offering drivers the opportunity to charge their EV for $0.01/kWh anytime on Wednesday, November 12.
In early 2024, BP Pulse opened its first U.S. EV charging hub at BP’s Houston headquarters. At the time, the station was the first BP Pulse branded gigahub in the country.
Elsewhere, Pilot recently added two new travel centers to its network, with one located in Findlay, Ohio, and the other in Eagle Pass, Texas.
“The Findlay location has been fully rebuilt from the ground up, while the Eagle Pass location is a brand-new network addition for drivers. Both are now open and designed to meet the needs of professional drivers,” a spokesperson told NACS.
The Ohio location features 80 dedicated truck parking spaces, 59 car parking spaces and three self-checkouts; the Texas location features 85 dedicated truck parking spaces, 65 car parking spaces and eight diesel lanes.

Tri Star Energy, the parent company of Twice Daily stores and White Bison Coffee, opened a new Twice Daily and White Bison Coffee location earlier this month in Abbeville, Alabama, the company told NACS.
“This celebration marks the brand’s expansion to the Abbeville area and adds to its nine existing stores throughout Alabama. The store opening is part of the retailer’s plan to convert all the Southern Traders stores to the Twice Daily banner. This new store will also feature White Bison Coffee, the first in the Dothan area,” Tri Star Energy said.
