QuikTrip opened its 1,200th location this month in Morrow, Georgia. It is the retailer’s 181st location in the state.
Nationally, QuikTrip said it has more than 80 new stores scheduled to open in 2026, “reflecting a disciplined growth strategy built on operational consistency, employee retention and strong customer demand.”
The retailer said the new location features a QT Kitchen, the company’s foodservice offer, with a wide selection of grab-and-go meals and made-to-order options. QuikTrip’s coffee program offers 12 varieties, including hot and iced lattes.
“The Atlanta metro area and the state of Georgia have been incredibly important to QuikTrip for nearly 40 years,” said QuikTrip Atlanta Director of Operations Robert Smith. “Reaching our 1,200th store is a milestone that reflects the strength of our business model—one built on taking care of employees, earning customer trust and showing up consistently for the communities we serve. That approach continues to drive our growth here in Georgia and across the country.”
Meanwhile in North Carolina, Sheetz recently opened a new store in Conover.
The 6,879-square-foot store features six Hi-Flo diesel lanes and nearly 50 truck parking spaces, a Sheetz real estate selector posted on LinkedIn. “It was great to see such strong support from the community, along with our store development, operations and support teams who make openings like this possible. We were also honored to have the Mayor and City Council join us to celebrate the investment in Conover as well.”
To celebrate the opening, Sheetz donated $2,500 and 251 pounds of non-perishables to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
Earlier this month, TravelCenters of America (TA), part of the BP portfolio, opened two new TA Express locations in Wendover, Nevada, and Carlin, Nevada.
The Wendover location features 153 truck parking spaces, 20 gasoline lanes and eight diesel lanes with DEF, as well as Sbarro’s, Bojangles, Del Taco, Black Bear Diner, an on-site deli and a retail store with snacks, beverages and merchandise.
The Carlin location has 50 truck parking spaces, 12 gasoline lanes and five diesel lanes with DEF. It also features Bojangles, an on-site deli and a retail store with snacks, beverages and merchandise.
