Wawa opened its first location in Northern Kentucky this week, reported local news outlet WLWT5. The new Wawa in Hebron is the sixth Wawa location in Kentucky.
“The Hebron location is the latest of a handful of Wawas to open in Greater Cincinnati, including in West Chester, Colerain Township, Union Township and Springdale, among others,” the outlet reported.
Over the next 5-8 years, Wawa plans to build and open 4-8 stores per year in Kentucky with plans to open more than 40 stores in the state, according to the Northern Kentucky Tribune.
Pilot recently opened two new travel centers—one in Chicopee, Massachusetts and the other in Ponce de Leon, Florida.
The Massachusetts location is located off I-90 at 357 Burnett Rd. and features 25 dedicated truck parking spaces and seven diesel lanes. The Florida travel center is located at 2923 Hwy. 81, just off exit I-10, and features 87 dedicated truck parking spaces and eight diesel lanes.
To celebrate the new store grand openings, Pilot is donating $20,000 each to Chicopee Public Schools, serving students in Chicopee, and the Holmes District School Board, serving Ponce de Leon students.
ExtraMile Convenience Stores opened its fifth new store of the year this month, located in Salt Lake County, Utah, according to a LinkedIn post.

Arko this week opened its second new-to-industry store in less than a month. The new Pride store location is in Agawam, Massachusetts.
“The new Pride store features a Pride Kitchen, offering fresh, made-to-order selections with breakfast served all day, as well as a full Chester’s Chicken franchise with a variety of popular chicken meals, tenders and sides. Together, these programs provide guests with convenient, high-quality options throughout the day,” the retailer said. The store also features a drive-thru and indoor seating.

Earlier this month, Arko opened a new Handy Mart store, featuring its fas craves food concept, in Garner, North Carolina. Arko said the new location marks the company’s second new-to-industry store with fas craves and its fifth fas craves site overall.
