Rutter’s this week opened its first store in Virginia, located in Winchester, the retailer told NACS. “This milestone marks the company’s 91st location across the Mid-Atlantic region and signifies its expansion into a fourth state, advancing Rutter’s ongoing growth strategy,” Rutter’s said.
The new location will be open 24/7 and spans nearly 14,000 square feet. It also features a beer cave, Rutter’s Made For You food and a 1747 Bar & Lounge, the retailer’s 21+ destination offering nearly 75 alcoholic beverage options, including canned cocktails, spiked slushies, beer and wine.
The 1747 Bar & Lounge also features 20 high-definition, 65-inch TVs and three real-time sports tickers.
“We’re excited to welcome the Winchester community to our newest location,” said Chris Hartman, Rutter’s vice president of fuels, marketing and development. “This store is designed to be more than a fuel stop—it’s a welcoming space to shop, dine, relax and enjoy sports games with friends and family.”
The store exterior features 12 auto-fueling locations and five commercial fueling lanes offering Premium Diesel and In-Lane DEF.
Rutter’s said it will have up to 50 new team members in Winchester.
Meanwhile in South Carolina, Parker’s Kitchen is opening its first Myrtle Beach location. The ribbon cutting will be held on October 27, where Parker’s Kitchen Founder and Executive Chairman Greg Parker will present a Fueling the Community donation to Horry County Schools to support local teachers, students and staff, the retailer told NACS.
“The entire Parker’s Kitchen menu is handcrafted on-site from the freshest ingredients by local chefs who take pride in cooking for the communities where they live and work. The Conway store serves hot, fresh, Southern-style food made from scratch on-site Monday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.,” the retailer said.
Earlier this month, Indiana-based Family Express opened its first modularized store in Ligonier, Indiana. Family Express said this is the first of four stores scheduled to open before the end of the year as part of the company’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. At the grand opening, customers received fresh carnations from team members, a free car wash and food from the company’s Cravin’s-To-Order kitchen.
