Coca-Cola unveiled Powerade Extra Sour, while Cutwater released a red, white and blue pack.

Coca-Cola unveiled “Coca‑Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy,” a line of 30 new collectable cans featuring Star Wars characters and movie scenes, per a press release.

The collectible cans are available now. Scannable QR codes unlock an immersive Augmented Reality (AR) experience where fans can record a video of themselves and share messages in the style of a Star Wars hologram transmission.

Also at Coca-Cola, Powerade is launching Powerade Extra Sour. The LTO will be available in 28 oz. bottles exclusively throughout the summer while supplies last, a spokesperson told NACS. The new flavor launch follows last summer’s Powerade Sour.

The drink is available in three flavors:

  • Cherry Kicker: “Bold and vibrant flavor of ripe cherries, and [packed] with a tart punch that evolves into a sweet undertone.”
  • Grape Shocker: “Intense and juicy burst of grape flavor with an extreme sour twist.”
  • Peach Pucker: “Crisp and tangy peach flavor, enhanced by a mouthwatering burst of sour.”

Meanwhile at Anheuser-Busch, Cutwater launched its new Red, White & Blue Cocktail Pack, a limited-edition release of tropical rum-based cocktails, according to a report from Beverage Industry.

The cocktail pack includes the following varieties:

  • Blue Hawaiian (Blue): A tropical blend of Cutwater’s rum and coconut water.
  • Strawberry Daiquiri (Red): A mix of rum, strawberry and lime.
  • Piña Colada (White): Coconut with pineapple and rum.

The ready-to-drink cocktails are available for a limited time in a 12 pack of 200 ml cans.

Earlier this month, NACS Daily reported that Busch Light, under the Anheuser-Busch brand, is launching a new LTO flavor: Busch Light Lime. The flavor is the brand’s second seasonal release and comes after the brand recently brought back Busch Light Apple. “Busch Light Lime is a crisp, refreshing lime-flavored lager with a touch of sweet on the front end and a clean beer finish on the back,” the brand said.
