EG America is teaming up with the American Cancer Society (ACS) again to raise money for life-saving programs, research and services that will help patients and families impacted by cancer, according to a press release sent to NACS.

Throughout July, guests at all EG America-operated convenience stores can donate $1, $5, or an amount of their choosing towards the American Cancer Society. Last year, EG America raised more than $645,000 through its in-store fundraiser.

This year’s campaign, Fuel the Hope for Change, is focused on "touching more lives through essential advocacy, research and patient support programs. In 2024, the American Cancer Society touched 55 million lives through the 1.800.227.2345 helpline, cancer.org live chat, research grants, vaccination and screening initiatives and patient lodging, navigation and transportation programs,” per the press release.

“We are proud to stand with the American Cancer Society again this year to support people living with cancer and their loved ones,” said Russ Colaco, CEO of EG Group. “Cancer touches all of us in some way, and we are committed to doing our part to continue the fight against this disease and support those who need it most.”

“Our partnership with EG America has generated more than $2.3 million in donations for critical programs and services,” said Sarah Wells, executive vice president of the American Cancer Society. “This outcome is a direct reflection of EG America and their loyal customers’ steadfast commitment to ending cancer as we know it and improving life for every patient.”

EG America’s family of 1,500 stores includes Cumberland Farms and Certified Oil, Fastrac, Kwik Shop, Loaf ‘n Jug, Minit Mart, Quik Stop, Sprint, Tom Thumb and Turkey Hill, the retailer said.

In other recent EG America news, last month NACS Daily reported that EG America is looking to hire about 7,000 new team members over the next few months to prepare for the summer.
