Sheetz opened a new location last week in Lancaster, Ohio, according to local news site the Lancaster Eagle Gazette.

The retailer hosted a grand opening ceremony on July 17, with a morning ribbon-cutting ceremony and free prizes for customers—including the chance to win the grand prize of free Sheetz for a year.

The company previously said it plans expected to hire 30 to 35 people for the new store.

Kwik Trip recently opened stores in North Liberty, Iowa; Milford, Iowa; Kingsford, Michigan; and Iron Mountain, Michigan, bringing its current store total to 875. The retailer has more openings planned this summer in Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Iowa.

Stewart’s Shops also opened a new store in Highland, New York. Located in the town of Lloyd, this marks the retailer’s 13th shop in Ulster County.

The store will host a grand opening ceremony on Friday, July 26, with all-day deals including:

  • 20 cents off fuel, per gallon, all grades (including premium non-ethanol gas & diesel).
  • Free single scoop cones.
  • Free hot coffee and tea, any size.
  • 99-cent make your own hot dog and roller grill items.
  • 99-cent Stewart’s 20oz. soda and refreshers.
  • 2 for $3 pizza slices.

In honor of this event, Stewart’s Shops is donating $1,000 to the Highland Babe Ruth League.

Kansas City retailer Fav Trip opened its latest store in the city last week, and offered deals to customers all day including free drinks, $1.99 tacos and a grand prize of four box seat tickets to a Kansas City Royals game.

Love’s Travel Stops completed updates to its Rolla, Missouri, location. The remodel “prioritizes an upgraded customer experience … and now offers a more modern design for customers, including an updated sales floor, bathrooms and showers, restaurant lobby and a newly painted interior and exterior design,” said the retailer.

Under its remodel initiative, Love’s is investing more than $1 billion in remodeling efforts for current locations. These locations remain open during the process and receive updates to amenities and services based on foot traffic, sales and the store’s age. Over the next four years, Love’s plans to update more than 200 locations.
