The NACS Foundation’s annual 24/7 Day will be held this Wednesday, July 24. The event unites convenience stores across America to recognize first responders, medical personnel, and American Red Cross volunteers who work around the clock, 24/7, to serve their communities.
The annual event helps raise awareness and donations for the urgent humanitarian needs of the American Red Cross and spotlights our industry’s important role in supporting local heroes and the communities we serve.
High’s of Baltimore is joining the effort by honoring 10 exceptional local Hometown Heroes. “Selected from an impressive pool of customer nominations, these individuals have made a significant impact on our community. We invite you to join us on July 24 as we celebrate and recognize their outstanding contributions,” the retailer said.
It will also be offering free coffee and fountain drinks to first responders and will be donating 25 cents to the American Red Cross for every ice cream purchased on July 24.
Hops Shops is also celebrating local heroes. The retailer offers free coffee or soda to first responders every day of the year. To celebrate 24/7 Day, the retailer has been visiting local first responders, bringing them meals and hearing their stories. Hop Shops has shared some of these stories on its LinkedIn page.
Yesway is supporting this year’s 24/7 Day at Yesway and Allsup’s store locations by offering a free Core Hydration water on July 24 for first responders. Also, July 21 through 24, it’s offering a free fountain drink of any size to those in uniform or with a badge.
