On August 2, Maverik hosted a community event at a newly rebranded store in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company began rebranding Colorado stores in February following its 2023 acquisition of Kum & Go.
Maverik has rebranded 27 stores in Colorado within three months and is on track to complete 93 rebrands across the state in August. With these rebrands, Maverik will operate over 124 stores in Colorado served by over 2,200 employees.
The event also included a media Q&A session that addressed Maverik’s rapid expansion through rebranding. During the session, Maverik stated that the choice to rebrand in Colorado allowed the brand to serve even more Colorado customers with what they already love about Maverik.
During the event, Maverik also presented a $25,000 donation to Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in recognition of its critical work supporting military, veterans, individuals, and families in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Maverik’s donation will help support Mt. Carmel fill their five food pantries in Colorado Springs and rural areas including Pueblo, Trinidad, Westcliff, and Monte Vista.
Maverik will host another community event at a newly rebranded Denver store on August 23 in celebration of the completion of its Colorado rebrands.
Last month, Crystal Maggelet was named as Maverik’s new CEO and Chief Adventure Guide.
