Pennsylvania-based Onvo has partnered with Playfly Sports, a sports media and marketing business, to become the Official Travel Plaza Sponsor of Penn State Football. The partnership is effective starting for the 2024-2025 football season.

The partnership will include in-game advertising at all home Nittany Lion football games, block party activations, digital marketing initiatives, and game day promos for Penn State football game attendees.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be the Official Travel Plaza sponsor of Penn State Football and Penn State Athletics as a whole. Penn State has one of the most passionate, loyal fanbases in all of sports, and we’re excited to be a part of that community. As a company based in Pennsylvania with locations throughout the state, it feels like a very natural fit. There are few organizations that resonate with our guests like Penn State football does. We look forward to helping fuel Penn State fans on game day—and every other day,” said Harman Aulakh, vice president of marketing for Onvo.

Last week, Idaho-based Jacksons Food Stores partnered with Boise State University defensive end Ahmed Hassanein and running back Jambres Dubar through a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) partnership.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with two impactful, game-changing BSU athletes this year,” said Todd Michael, SVP merchandising and marketing of Jacksons Food Stores. “We can’t wait to see what both Dubar and Hassanein accomplish on the blue this season. Jacksons is proud to continue our support of Boise State athletes through these opportunities.”

Earlier this summer, Onvo debuted its private, unleaded branded fuel, now available for sale at one location in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Aulakh told NACS that the next goal for Onvo is to increase its foodservice presence. “We are focusing on bringing Food on the Fly to more locations. That’s one of our biggest priorities in the next year or so outside of our existing growth plans.”
