Stewart’s Shops Launches Annual Holiday Match Campaign

In 2022, the campaign raised over $2 million for local organizations.

Stewart’s Shops announced the launch of its annual holiday match program, which runs from Thanksgiving Day until Christmas Day. Through the program, the company matches all donations, dollar for dollar, that come through its stores to support local nonprofit organizations benefiting children.

Additionally, the retailer stated that the company not only matches each customer’s donations but there will be no administrative fees to make sure that 100% of every donation is supporting kids in the community.

The holiday match program is designed to benefit local charities and resources for kids under the age of 18, including in areas such as social services, health, education, recreational programs and the arts.

In 2022, Stewart’s Shops raised over $2 million for 1,939 local organizations. To date, the convenience retailer announced that it has raised over $36 million for local charities since the program’s inception in 1986.

Applications for the holiday match opened on Thanksgiving Day and will be accepted through January 31st, 2024. Local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations can apply for funding on the Stewart’s Shop website. Schools, churches and town municipalities with programs benefiting children are also eligible to apply. Allocations will be made in March.

In other giving news, wo celebrate World Kindness Day the Wawa Foundation intends to recognize and inspire generosity across its communities with its announcement of a $100,000 match of customer donations to its annual in-store fundraising campaign to support hunger relief.

The company’s annual Check-Out Hunger campaign is running November 13 through December 10.
