ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Dash In Food Stores continues to grow and today welcomes a new location in Laurel, Maryland, complete with an ECO Car Wash. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for 3 p.m.

The grand opening event will celebrate Dash In and Splash In ECO Car Wash’s commitment to the Laurel community with activities, giveaways and prizes, the retailer said.

Company officials plan to present $6,500 in grants to local organizations to help providea nutritious meals to area children and their families, as well as working to support a vibrant community.

Recipients include: $5,000 for the Maryland Food Bank to help children and their families get the food they need; $1,000 for Laurel High School for resources for teachers and students; and $500 for the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department.

La Plata, Maryland-based Dash In has more than 50 locations throughout Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
