Idaho-based Stinker Stores recently completed the sale of 12 fee-simple convenience store properties across Colorado, according to Corner Realty, who facilitated the sale. The portfolio allowed buyers to acquire one, some or all sites, with open fuel supply.

The 12 locations ranged from 375 square feet to nearly 3,500 square feet, according to Corner Realty’s website listing.

“This transaction underscores the continued demand for well-located, operationally proven convenience retail assets and demonstrates how a disciplined, flexible sales process can unlock value for both sellers and buyers,” Corner Realty said.

“Corner Realty delivered credible buyers and navigated a complex process at the right pace to meet our corporate objectives,” said Nancy Jones, chairman of Stinker Stores.

Stinker Stores, with over 100 locations across Idaho, Colorado and Wyoming, was featured in the 2025 NACS Ideas 2 Go video series.

Stinker Stores leans heavily into the branding of its skunk mascot, Polecat Pete. “Our mascot has got to be the coolest mascot I know. … Our founder started with the idea that he had a little bit of fight in him. People called him a big stinker, and we’ve kept that alive since then. From every corner of Idaho, people see the Stinker Stores skunk, Polecat Pete, and think: ‘What is this skunk doing and why does he have a pair of boxing gloves?’” said Steve Cook, marketing manager at Stinker Stores.

Ideas 2 Go captures ideas from some of the most innovative and food-forward convenience stores in the industry and debuts during a NACS Show General Session. Watch the full video of Stinker Stores here and check out the other 2025 Ideas 2 Go videos here.
