Tennessee-based Weigel’s launched a new trivia feature in the Weigel’s app, “giving guests a fun, interactive way to earn rewards while connecting with the brand’s history and the athletes who represent Weigel’s across the region,” the retailer said. New questions will rotate throughout the year as part of the company’s ongoing 95th anniversary celebration.
Weigel’s said the trivia experience invites guests to answer rotating questions tied to the company’s heritage, from its roots at Broadacre Farms to milestones that have shaped Weigel’s role “as East Tennessee’s first convenience retailer.” Each correct answer gives guests the opportunity to earn bonus points, reinforcing loyalty through participation and brand knowledge.
“The feature also incorporates Weigel’s NIL athlete partnerships, with timely trivia questions connected to recent game performances. This allows guests to stay engaged with the athletes they support while interacting with the Weigel’s brand between store visits, blending sports, local pride and rewards into a single experience,” Weigel’s said.
The trivia feature was developed in partnership with Rovertown and integrates into the MyWeigel’s Rewards ecosystem. The retailer highlighted that the launch reflects Weigel’s broader loyalty strategy of using thoughtful gamification and storytelling to create experiences that feel personal, timely and rooted in the communities it serves.
Earlier this month, Weigel’s launched its redesigned app. The retailer said the new MyWeigel’s Rewards App delivers “a faster, more intuitive experience built around how guests actually shop, earn and save. The updated app reflects Weigel’s continued investment in loyalty, digital convenience and creating meaningful value at every visit.”
Weigel’s said the new app introduces a refreshed design that prioritizes speed and clarity, adopting a utility-first approach with features such as rewards, fuel discounts, offers and games now “easier to find and use.” Customers can also quickly check points, view current deals, access fuel savings and participate in interactive experiences that reward ongoing engagement.
