Mars’ Pringles brand is launching a new brand campaign, “Once You Pop, The Pop Don't Stop,” in honor of its Super Bowl commercial which will air during the game on February 8.
“The man on the can—Mr. P—inspires Sabrina Carpenter to build her snack of a soulmate, Pringleleo, crafted crisp by crisp to perfection. Their romance unfolds with all the flavor Pringles brings: an instant spark at first pop, playful rendezvous and a public appearance that sets fans into a frenzy,” the company said of the commercial. The 30 second ad will air at the beginning of the third quarter of the game.
Pringles also recently launched limited-edition Pringles x Cheez-It Snack Stadiums on shelves at select retailers nationwide. “The perfect way to socialize and snack at your Big Game watch parties, the Snack Stadiums are free with the purchase of four participating products at participating retailers while supplies last. Simply grab your favorite flavors and build your Snack Stadium with the perfect matchup of delicious Pringles crisps and Cheez-It crackers,” the company said.
Meanwhile, Mondelēz International’s Ritz Crackers will also feature an ad for the Super Bowl, “expanding its salty universe with a new ad titled ‘Ritz Island’ airing during the third quarter. Featuring a star-studded lineup of actor and producer Jon Hamm, comedic trailblazer Bowen Yang, and actor and producer Scarlett Johansson, Ritz Crackers brings everyone together for a celebration fit for football's biggest weekend,” the company said.
To celebrate the commercial, Ritz Crackers is “executing an integrated effort with a 360° multichannel approach that reaches consumers at every touchpoint, including a strengthened in-store presence throughout the football season with the recent release of limited-edition football-shaped crackers.”
Also at Mondelēz, Oreo recently teamed up with Marvel for the LTO Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies. “The Marvel Oreo Stuf of Legends Cookies feature four special-edition packs, illustrations by renowned Marvel Comics artist Todd Nauck, and contain a record-breaking 32 cookie embossments showcasing iconic characters from the Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four,” Mondelēz said.
The cookie packs also feature a “first-of-its-kind innovation:” a color-changing creme (gray to blue) adding an interactive, unexpected twist to every bite.
