Sheetz has unveiled a “cutting-edge collab” with Liquid Death—the “Sheetz x Liquid Death Chainsaw-Sliced Sandwich Experience” allows customers to order a Sheetz Made-to-Order sandwich and then have it sliced with a real chainsaw, Sheetz said in an email statement sent to NACS. Customers must also purchase a 19.2-ounce Liquid Death mountain water, sparkling water or iced tea.
The experience will take place Friday, July 25 from 2-5 p.m. at a select location in Pittsburgh. Influencer Jenna Ceriani—better known as Chainsaw Jenna—will be on-site slicing sandwiches with a high-powered chainsaw, Sheetz said.
“As a company, we are obsessed with staying ahead of the competition in the sandwich game. Naturally, chainsaws felt like the ultimate power move,” said Executive Vice President of Marketing and Supply Chain at Sheetz Ryan Sheetz. “Just kidding, of course! But what we are dead serious about is how pumped we are for this partnership with Liquid Death. It is truly unlike anything the retail space has ever seen before. No one has ever offered sandwiches sliced by a chainsaw—this is completely ridiculous, totally unforgettable and the kind of high energy fun our customers will love.”
To celebrate the collaboration, Sheetz and Liquid Death also dropped an exclusive line of limited-edition “Sandwich Slayer” merchandise. The collection includes T-shirts, baseball caps, bucket hats, tote bags, aprons, chef towels and safety glasses.
In other recent Sheetz news, last month the retailer released two new vodka sodas—Shpiked Peach Ringz and the higher-proof Shpiiiked Peach Ringz. Sheetz said it partnered with Slushed Brands LLC to create the vodka sodas. Mixed with peach gummy rings and distilled premium vodka, the drinks are lightly carbonated and deliver a “burst of peachy flavors.”
