Pennsylvania-based Dandy Mini Marts has launched online ordering at select Dandy locations. The new service allows customers to choose between picking up their order at the store or having it delivered directly to their house.

Josh Jackson, assistant general manager of Dandy, stated, “We are thrilled to provide our customers with the added convenience of online ordering and delivery. This service is designed to meet the needs of our busy customers, ensuring they can enjoy their favorite Dandy products with ease.”

As part of its online ordering launch, Dandy announced it is offering an exclusive promotion: Customers who register an account and use the promo code FIRST5 will receive $5 off their first order.

The service is currently available at 10 different Dandy locations across Pennsylvania and New York.

Wesco, a west Michigan-based retailer, reached a delivery milestone earlier this year. The convenience retailer achieved a total of $3.1 million in annualized sales and achieved 43% growth in delivery in 2023, according to Vroom Delivery.

Each Wesco location that offers delivery (around 35 of 55 locations) makes the service available from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. Customers can order snacks, beverages, age-restricted products, prepared food, household items and more. Popular prepared meals, including pizza and grinders (a sub sandwich), account for approximately half of sales.

In April, Paytronix released an online ordering report, which found that guests transacting directly with a brand order 35% more items per check compared to those who order via third-party marketplaces. Other findings showed that online ordering represented 27% of all orders for restaurants and convenience stores in 2023, and operators in the top 25% of online ordering volume saw online orders jump to 62% of all their orders last year.
