ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Fortune Magazine has included Sheetz on its list of 100 Best Large Workplaces for Women, coming in at No. 98. The company has been on the list each year since 2016.

An employee said this about the company:

“This company is always looking for ways to recognize its employees and make them feel as though they are more than just a number on an employment roster! The wages are continuously being examined to ensure fair pay is received by all employees as well as the opportunity to receive quarterly bonuses. Sheetz also encourages family life by working with employees to balance home and work life. It is often exciting to work for a company that is always looking for ways to evolve and grow to meet the needs and wants of its customers. It allows us (employees) to learn new things frequently while continuing to have a great time at work.”

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Fortune’s research partner Great Place to Work analyzed feedback representing more than 1.2 employees, 640,000 of whom were women.

Earlier this month, Sheetz landed on this year's Best Workplaces in Retail list at No. 3, trailing only Wegmans Food Markets and Target in the annual nationwide list also put together by Fortune and Great Place to Work.

Sheetz also made the list of People magazine’s 100 Companies That Care 2022. According to People, “the businesses on People’s annual list go above and beyond to honor their employees, uplift their communities and make the world a better place.”

Sheetz was recognized on the list for its charitable giving and the support it provides employees. The rankings on the list is based off employee surveys and data from companies. The surveys ask employees about relevant experiences on how their workplaces have made a difference in their lives and in their communities.
