LITTLE CANADA, Minn.—Drivers filling up their vehicles with the Minnoco Rewards Program during Minnoco’s “Pink Out” promotion in October raised $9,000 for breast cancer awareness and research, the Minnesota-based fuel retailer announced during a ceremony at Gramsie Corner Mart Minnoco in Shoreview, Minnesota.

Forty locally owned and community involved Minnoco gas stations around the Twin Cities participating in the annual event donated five cents from the sale of every gallon to the local charity Hope Chest for Breast Cancer.

Hope Chest for Breast Cancer’s purpose is to provide the quickest access to help with the most urgent emergency needs of local breast cancer patients. This includes keeping patients in their homes, with the lights and heat on and healthy meals on the table, while they’re fighting breast cancer and providing financial support for urgent non-medical needs.

“The Pink Out promotion is a great way for Minnoco owners and their employees to give back to their communities contributing to an important cause,” said Lance Klatt, executive director, Minnoco.

Last year, Minnoco raised $8,500 for breast cancer awareness and research.
