RaceTrac debuted a new addition to its breakfast lineup—the Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle sandwich, which is “an innovative twist on RaceTrac’s popular waffle breakfast sandwich, featuring crunchy chicken and a drizzle of sweet and zesty hot honey in addition to fluffy egg and melty cheese,” the retailer said in a press release.

“We wanted to build off the success of both our waffle breakfast sandwich and our new and improved chicken filet to create a new flavor combination for guests seeking a bolder breakfast,” said Nick McCormick, corporate executive chef at RaceTrac. “Based on guest feedback, we developed this exciting menu item combining trending flavors and beloved elements from our menu. We believe the resulting Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle is something that guests can look forward to as a part of their morning routines.”

Alongside the new Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle sandwich, RaceTrac is also rolling out Southwest Sausage Pizza and an Egg Salad Sandwich on cracked oat wheat bread as the latest LTOs on the menu.

Last month, research firm Datassential reported that hot honey has become increasingly more popular. Spicy flavors feel “less niche and more every day, with sweet-heat combinations driving interest across snacks, sauces, beverages and desserts,” Datassential said.

In other recent RaceTrac LTO offer news, the retailer rolled out its Brunch Burger in the fall of 2025. “This protein-packed sandwich was created in RaceTrac’s very own culinary kitchen, combining savory breakfast flavors like a fluffy egg, crispy bacon, golden hashbrown with classic cheeseburger goodness, all served on a soft burger bun—perfect for satisfying cravings any time of the day,” RaceTrac said.

At the end of 2025, RaceTrac celebrated its 600th store opening in Garden City, Georgia. It marked the occasion with a community event featuring gift card giveaways, samples from popular brands and a donation to Savannah Feed the Hungry.

The retailer also opened its first North Carolina store in December 2025.

“The new Monroe store, strategically positioned along the busy U.S. Route 74 corridor connecting to Charlotte, represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy and follows recent new market entries into Indiana, Ohio and South Carolina. This expansion … adds approximately 30 new jobs to the Monroe community,” the company said in a press release.
