RaceTrac will celebrate the grand opening of its first North Carolina store on Tuesday, December 2, in Monroe.
“The new Monroe store, strategically positioned along the busy U.S. Route 74 corridor connecting to Charlotte, represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy and follows recent new market entries into Indiana, Ohio and South Carolina. This expansion brings RaceTrac’s signature ‘Whatever Gets You Going’ convenience experience to North Carolina residents for the first time and adds approximately 30 new jobs to the Monroe community,” the company said in a press release.
Starting at 10 a.m. on grand opening day, the first 100 guests in line will receive a $20 RaceTrac gift card. The celebration will also include samples and a tuition donation to four students at South Piedmont Community College.
RaceTrac said that the new location also serves professional drivers and construction vehicles with “a spacious rear canopy, including lanes of high-flow diesel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) options at the pump.”
The new location comes just after RaceTrac opened its 600th store last week in Garden City, Georgia.
Additionally, Love’s opened its fifth North Dakota location. The new travel stop, located in Sterling, North Dakota, features 59 truck parking spaces, five diesel bays, four showers, six RV hookups and three RV parking spaces. It also has space allocated for EV chargers should there be customer demand, the company said.
The store includes a Love’s Fresh Kitchen concept with sandwiches, salads and fresh fruit prepared daily, and a Godfather’s Pizza and Subway.
7-Eleven opened four stores according to a LinkedIn post from Terri Micklin, senior vice president of store development and facilities at 7-Eleven. Two franchise stores opened in Daytona Beach and Winter Haven, Florida, and two corporate stores opened in Columbus, Ohio, and Premont, Texas.
Kent Kwik celebrated the grand opening of a brand new location in Crowley, Texas, according to a LinkedIn post. The store features a made-to-order deli, beer and ice caves, a Kent Car Wash and a drive-thru.
“This expansion represents our ongoing commitment to providing convenient, high-quality service to the communities we serve, and we’re excited to bring a fresh, modern retail experience to the area,” the company said in the post.
