GSTV Rolls Out Summer of Drive Campaign

The campaign features original content and spotlights summer essentials.

GSTV unveiled its first Summer of Drive tentpole, sponsored by Fiji Water, Bodyarmor sports drink, Slim Jim meat snacks and Valvoline Instant Oil Change, per a press release sent to NACS.

Designed to celebrate summer road trip season, “GSTV’s campaign is headlined by dynamic new programming spotlighting all the essentials of summer—music, travel, food and fun. The Summer of Drive … features original content from GSTV’s IGNITE Studio starring creator Tank Sinatra and comedian Paul Virzi,” the company said.

In partnership with Influential, GSTV will also collaborate with three creators on summer-themed content to run on GSTV for six weeks beginning in July. Content will also run across the creators’ social media platforms, cross promoting Summer of Drive on GSTV.

GSTV said the complete Summer of Drive programming line-up is:

  • Full Tank: The Ultimate Dad Road Trip: Comedic duo Tank Sinatra and Paul Virzi hit the road for a laugh-out-loud ‘dadventure’ in this GSTV exclusive.
  • Big Machine Label Group’s Soundtrack to Summer: Featuring top country stars, Soundtrack to Summer is where country music comes to life with Big Machine Label Group and GSTV.
  • Matador Network’s Must-See America Summer Celebrations: From BBQs to beaches to the best fireworks for July 4, travelers will be inspired as they prepare for the hottest summer holidays with Matador Network and GSTV.
  • TikTok: Social media features of “Summer’s Hottest” snacks and places sharing with viewers trending travel hot spots and must-try summer eats.
  • Fuel It Forward: GSTV will partner with influencers to surprise and delight GSTV viewers as they fuel up. Content to be shown on GSTV and on creators’ own Instagram accounts. GSTV and creator Tank Sinatra will surprise drivers with free tanks of gas at a GSTV site on Long Island, New York as part of the campaign.

Earlier this year, GSTV released Summer Travel Insights which highlighted that 83% of people said they plan to drive to their summer vacation destination, and 54% said they will drive instead of fly due to the increasing cost of airfare.
