Circle K recently teamed up with Monster Energy to launch Punk Punch, a brand-new Monster flavor available exclusively at Circle K, a spokesperson for Circle K told NACS. Punk Punch is the first-ever exclusive item Monster Energy has released with Circle K, giving customers early access before the flavor hits shelves nationwide in April.
“Built for fans who move fast and live loud, Punk Punch delivers a classic fruit punch flavor with a rebellious twist. The vibrant blend layers juicy red berries and cherries with the sweetness of pineapple and zest of citrus, finished with a refreshing hint of mango and kiwi. It's packed with notes of nostalgia, but no added sugar, so fans can step into the limelight without guilt,” Circle K said.
Punk Punch is available at Circle K locations nationwide, available in 16 oz cans while supplies last.
Earlier this month, Monster Energy introduced its new Monster Energy Strawberry Shot, a “bold and refreshing new way to enjoy the legendary OG Monster flavor, now with an added shot of strawberry that pumps up the taste without changing the DNA fans know and love,” Monster said.
The company said the flavor idea was inspired by the popular dirty soda trend.
Over at Anheuser-Busch’s Phorm Energy, the brand added NASCAR race car driver William Byron, driver of the No. 24 car, to its athlete roster.
“Building on its multi-year partnership with Hendrick Motorsports, Phorm Energy now becomes the primary sponsor of the No. 24 car for two premier races this year: Talladega on April 26 and St. Louis–the home of Phorm Energy–on September 13. Byron will race the No. 24 car with a bold Screamin’ Freedom paint scheme–one of the core portfolio flavors for the brand,” Phorm said.
The brand is also introducing a new limited-time-only innovation: Paradise Punch. The new drink provides a fruit punch flavor with notes of cherry and grape. In addition to the new Paradise Punch limited-time-only flavor, the brand recently announced an all-new permanent Silver Lightning flavor that will be featured at a high-energy fitness event in San Francisco on Saturday, February 7 ahead of the Superbowl.
Over at Celsius, the brand released its latest Fizz-Free cans with a new look. “Available nationwide, the Celsius Fizz-Free lineup includes: Blue Razz Lemonade, Peach Mango Green Tea, Pink Lemonade and Dragon Fruit Lime. The revamped lineup meets evolving consumer preferences for smooth, easy-to-drink formats, attracting new consumers who prefer their energy without the fizz,” a spokesperson for Celsius told NACS.
Bodyarmor also launched a new caffeinated product, its Flash I.V. Caffeine Zero Sugar. The product is available in pineapple passionfruit and Watermelon Punch, and contains 95 mg of caffeine, 2,290 mg of electrolytes and zero sugar, Bodyarmor said.
