Conexxus Vision Group’s (CxVG) latest Vision Report, "Clip and Save: The Future of Digital Coupons,” discusses how digital coupon solutions, text messaging systems and drive-thru POS innovations can transform convenience retail operations.

CxVG members and guests explored alternatives to app-based loyalty programs and portable drive-thru POS systems, with an emphasis on SMS as a powerful customer communication tool. "We noticed a lot of older folks were coming in with their flip phones and saying, 'Hey, I remember you said it's 20 cents off a gallon on Friday,' even when the app was dead long ago," shared Babir Sultan, president of Favtrip.

The report also looks at:

  • Transforming customer communication beyond apps: Discover how SMS messaging is becoming the preferred channel for customer engagement, with real-world examples of operators growing text clubs to 17,000+ members and doubling Friday sales through strategic campaigns.
  • Accessing untapped CPG marketing dollars: Learn how the revolutionary PROSPR initiative is opening entirely new funding streams through secure 8112 digital coupons, allowing retailers to tap into national shopper marketing budgets previously unavailable to the convenience channel.
  • Simplifying digital integration: Understand how digital coupon implementation works seamlessly with existing POS loyalty systems, requiring minimal technical setup while delivering maximum impact for retailers of all sizes.
  • Scaling your operations efficiently: Gain insights into how small and large retailers alike are successfully implementing these technologies to compete more effectively, with practical advice on costs, implementation timelines and expected returns.

The CxVG virtual meeting was facilitated by James Maxey, an industry expert and business analytics lecturer at Trinity University and featured two guest speakers on digital coupon solutions: Colin Dornish, managing member at CSD Solutions; and Anil Bhat, head of product development for petroleum and convenience store group at Verifone Inc.
