Following this past summer’s QSR meal deal blitz, savings continue to be rolled out.

McDonald’s, which hosted a “summer of value,” announced that it is “launching another season of savings this fall.”

According to the press release, “It's official—the $5 meal deal is sticking around, with a majority of local markets extending it into December. Featuring your choice of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, small fries, four-piece Chicken McNuggets and a small soft drink—all for just $5.”

"This summer, tens of millions of fans went to their local McDonald's to enjoy our $5 Meal Deal, and it was so great to welcome them," said Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald's USA. "The extension of the $5 Meal Deal, and the other offerings we're announcing for our fall line-up, are just a few of the ways we're working hard to offer great meals at a fair price."

The QSR will also offer deals on National Cheeseburger Day (September 18) and National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day (November 9).

Panera Bread is also ringing in fall with deals. The brand is kicking off a limited-time deal on two menu items “so guests can enjoy a satisfyingly delicious feel-good meal at a great value.” When customers use a special code on their order, they receive a whole-sized Chicken Bacon Rancher sandwich or Fuji Apple Chicken Salad plus a free side for $7.99.

Domino’s Pizza is introducing two pasta dishes: five-cheese mac and cheese and spicy buffalo five-cheese mac and cheese.

The dishes include “penne pasta combined with a blend of cheddar, American, Parmesan-Asiago, mozzarella blend and Alfredo sauce” and are oven-baked.

With the introduction of mac and cheese, customers are also being offered a couple of deals. One, a mix-and-match deal, lets customers buy any two menu items (including mac and cheese) for $6.99. Domino’s Rewards members may also redeem 60 points for a free order of mac and cheese.

Earlier this year, NACS Daily shared how 78% of Americans agree that higher menu prices have made dining out more challenging over the past year, even as inflation pressures ease, according to the Givex 2024 Restaurant and Dining Trends Survey.

According to the Givex survey, consumers are changing the way they dine out and are swayed by deals and value when it comes to purchasing food.
