The GATE Foundation, the philanthropic affiliate of GATE Petroleum Company, raised $215,000 to benefit Camp Boggy Creek at its annual charity golf tournament, the foundation announced in a press release. Monies were raised during the two-day event through fundraising activities at a dinner event as well as via sponsorships and registrations for the 300-player golf tournament.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to all participants, sponsors and volunteers whose unwavering commitment made our golf tournament a resounding success in raising funds for Camp Boggy Creek,” said Kathy Brady, executive director of The GATE Foundation. “Your remarkable generosity will have a lasting impact, empowering us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many children and their families.”

Camp Boggy Creek’s mission is to make it possible for children with serious illnesses and their families to experience a free, life-changing camp where safety, respect, love and joy come together to enrich their physical and behavioral health. The camp’s year-round retreat is able to serve thousands of campers and their families in a safe, medically sound environment.

“We are so grateful to The Gate Foundation for this extraordinary gift,” says Dan Jurman, CEO of Camp Boggy Creek. “Their generosity is going to positively impact hundreds of campers and their families for years to come. That’s because our campers leave Camp, but their experience at Camp never leaves them.”
