Travel Centers of America has raised $156,000 through its round-up campaign. The funds will go to St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund and will be used to support truck drivers who have had to take time off from driving due to injury or illness.

According to a company press release, “The work of St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund aligns with our mission to return every traveler to the road better than they came and we are committed to helping ensure professional drivers have access to critical resources during times of need,” said Debi Boffa, chief executive officer of TA. “We thank our guests for their incredible generosity and supporting the heroic men and women who sacrifice so much to keep our economy moving.”

The donations came from a round-up campaign from Travel Center customers from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

“When truck drivers are out of work with an illness or injury, it is so important for them have some peace of mind about how to pay their household bills,” said Donna Kennedy, executive director of SCF. “The round-up campaign is critical to helping ensure drivers everywhere have access to the financial stability needed to heal and return better than ever.”

Since 2010, TA has raised $3 million for the St. Christopher’s Truckers Development and Relief Fund.
