ALEXANDRIA, Va.—TravelCenters of America (TA) has been named to Newsweek’s list of Most Trustworthy Companies in America 2023. This is the second consecutive year that TA has been recognized on the list, which includes 700 U.S. companies in 23 industries. The results are based on a survey evaluating customer trust, investor trust, and employee trust.

According to Newsweek, it surveyed a pool of 3,100 U.S.-based companies (1,800 publicly held and 1,300 privately held) with revenues over $500 million. Their rankings were based on the results of an independent survey from a sample of about 25,000 people in the U.S. who were asked how much they agreed with statements like "I trust in this company to treat me fairly as its customer," "I believe this company offers good opportunities for career development" and “I believe this company would be a good long-term investment.” A total of 95,000 evaluations were submitted.

Earlier this year, TA opened a new restaurant concept called Fork & Compass that was created to provide a reimagined experience for professional drivers, motorists and local residents. Designed to be a destination spot for the community, the restaurant has unique food options for all ages in a family-friendly atmosphere.

In September, TA and Cleveland Clinic announced a collaboration to improve the health of truck drivers. The partnership means healthier options for dining and snacks at all TA locations.

In February, bp and TravelCenters announced that bp will purchase TA for $1.3 billion.
