Love’s Alternative Energy recently opened a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Fresno, California, per a press release sent to NACS.
Located on the highway in the distribution district, it features six CNG fuel dispensers and is the first location opened under the new Love’s Alternative Energy brand. With the opening, Love’s now has 106 CNG stations in the U.S. and Canada, the retailer said.
The unmanned location offers CNG only (no professional driver amenities) and is considered a “cardlock” station meaning customers must have an approved card to make fuel purchases. Love’s said the layout is designed for larger commercial vehicles and features high-speed dispensers.
“The Fresno station addresses a growing demand for lower carbon fueling options for commercial trucking, refuse and transit fleets in this part of the country as it’s a significant logistics and supply chain hub,” said Ryan Erickson, vice president of Love’s Alternative Energy. “This self-serving fueling facility gives our CNG fleet customers the ability to fuel on their schedule, competitive pricing, easy maneuvering for larger vehicles and comprehensive reporting on fuel consumption. In addition, the location supports California’s climate goals to target carbon neutrality.”
In honor of the grand opening, Love’s Alternative Energy donated $5,000 to Sunnyside High School and $5,000 to Valley Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospital.
Wawa opened a new location in Newark, Delaware, according to a LinkedIn post.
“We celebrated the official grand opening today and could not be more thrilled to see the community enjoy all that Wawa has to offer. Wawa offers a one-stop experience, allowing you to grab coffee, a quick bite or fill up on the go. Stop by and check out this new location today!” Fusco Management Company, which owns the property, said in the post.
Kwik Trip will open its 900th location on August 14 in Rosemount, Minnesota, reported local outlet KRFO. The following week, another store will open in Indianola, Iowa.
