ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Rutter’s announced its latest seasonal Spiked Slushie offering: Stronger Than Cupid’s Arrow. The slushie is watermelon flavor and comes in in a 20-ounce cup, as well as Rutter’s 64-ounce and 128-ounce party bags.
“At Rutter’s, we’re always looking for new ways to bring fun and unique offerings to our customers,” said Adam Long, Rutter’s senior category manager. “We hope our customers continue to enjoy our Spiked Slushies and are excited for more new flavors in 2023 … stay tuned!”
Spiked Slushies are available at 52 Rutter’s locations throughout Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, Weigel’s is celebrating “Free Fountain Wednesday” in February for its loyalty program members. Loyalty members will receive a free 32-ounce fountain beverage each Wednesday this month.
In 2022, the convenience retailer introduced “Weigel’s Wednesdays,” giving loyalty members a free vendor-sponsored product each Wednesday.
“Weigel’s Wednesdays was such a huge success for us last year. Our vendor partners and loyalty program saw significant sales lift well after the day a product was free. We wanted to take it a step further this year with our most popular proprietary programs being a part of the campaign,” said Jessica Starnes, Weigel’s loyalty and tobacco category manager.
Last November, the Tennessee-based retailer relaunched their loyalty program, myWeigel’s Rewards, by rewarding points every time customers shopped.
“We have seen a positive impact on the business since making the switch to a points-based loyalty program,” said Starnes. “Our guests are excited about earning points for their purchases and using their points to redeem rewards that they choose. This adds a more personalized experience into our loyalty program.”
