California-based Loop Neighborhood Market’s new ready-to-eat spam musubi, made on-site in stores daily, is now available in regular and “Blaze (hot & spicy)” options, inspired by the flavors of Hawaii, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.
Loop Neighborhood Market describes the spam musubi as a “beloved snack” featuring a slice of caramelized oven-roasted Spam on a block of rice, wrapped in a strip of nori seaweed.
“We are thrilled to bring Spam Musubi to our customers,” said Pervez Pir, president of retail at Loop Neighborhood Market. “At Loop, we are always looking for ways to expand our food offerings with unique and flavorful options that cater to a wide range of tastes. Our new spam musubi is a perfect example of our commitment to providing high-quality, convenient and culturally inspired food and is quickly becoming our number one item in our hot case.”
Customers can find the new spam musubi in the Hot-to-Go case of most Loop Neighborhood Market locations.
Last year, Loop Neighborhood Market entered the private label game with the launch of its Delish Candy and Snacks, its own private label brand. The line includes snacks such as gummy bears, peach rings and chili lime peanuts.
“The Delish by Loop Candy and Snack line features 16 of the most popular bagged treats, offering a delicious mix of sweet and savory options. It includes classic favorites like fruity gummies, flavorful nuts and energizing trail mixes. Whether you’re craving something sugary or a satisfying snack, this diverse assortment has something for everyone,” said Varish Goyal, CEO of Loop Neighborhood Market, in a statement to NACS at the time.
