Dutch Bros coffee recently launched a lineup of new “mocktail inspired drinks,” according to a press release. The new LTO summer options are a Mudslide Mocha, Strawberry Colada and Blue Lagoon with strawberry fruit.
The Mudslide Mocha features Dutch Bros’ chocolate milk, Irish cream syrup and dark chocolate sauce, and is topped with Cookies & Cream Soft Top. It is available as an iced mocha, mocha freeze or mocha cold brew.
The Strawberry Colada features pineapple, coconut and sweet cream topped off with strawberry fruit. It comes iced or as a Blended Rebel energy drink.
The Blue Lagoon with strawberry fruit is a mix of blue raspberry and passion fruit finished with strawberry fruit on top. It can be ordered as a Fizz, lemonade or Blended Rebel energy drink.
Meanwhile Dunkin’ has teamed up with pop singer Sabrina Carpenter to release Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher—"an iced, creamy Refresher available now as a $3 medium for Dunkin’ Rewards members,” per a press release.
Crafted with strawberry flavor and oatmilk and topped with a cold foam, Sabrina’s Strawberry Daydream Refresher delivers the “nostalgic taste of strawberries and cream in a sip that’s rich yet refreshingly light. Dunkin’s creamiest Refresher yet is just the latest example of how Dunkin’ stirs up flavor innovation with fun, seasonal combos that come together in one crave-worthy sip,” the QSR said.
Elsewhere, Starbucks will be changing how it charges customers for matcha powder and syrups, reported CBS News and other outlets, in an attempt to simplify its pricing structure. Starbucks said it will charge 80 cents for any combination of syrup or sauce that modifies an unflavored drink instead of charging for each addition. The company noted that it won’t charge customers to substitute a sauce or syrup in a preflavored drink, such as adding vanilla syrup to a Caffè Mocha.
Starbucks also plans to “charge $1 for adding a scoop of matcha powder to non-matcha drinks and will charge 50 cents to include dried fruit in a beverage,” wrote the outlet.
Earlier this summer, Starbucks introduced new and returning limited-time summer beverages. The Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso joined returning Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers Beverages.
