Dutch Bros Coffee just released two new drinks, pitting sour against sweet—the “recently launched Brownie Batter Mocha has become a quick favorite, but there’s a new kid on the block with the Sour Berry Blast,” the retailer said in a press release.
The QSR also recently added a sour shot option that can be added to any drink for 50 cents.
The Sour Berry Blast is described as a “tart treat with blue raspberry, a sour shot and Blue Raz Poppin’ Boba,” and the Brownie Batter Mocha “indulges sweet treat lovers with dark chocolate, covered in Soft Top complete with brownie pieces on top.”
Meanwhile, Mountain Dew and Little Caesars launched an exclusive drink flavor—Mountain Dew Mango Rush
Rolling out nationally starting May 5, exclusively at Little Caesars, the tropical beverage “blends the refreshing citrus taste of Mountain Dew with a bold kick of mango flavor,” according to the company.
Elsewhere in the QSR space, Starbucks recently created new dress guidelines for its employees. “Starting May 12, we’re evolving our dress code in all stores to focus on simplified color options that allow our iconic green apron to shine and create a sense of familiarity for our customers, no matter which store they visit across North America,” Starbucks said.
The QSR chain said that the more defined color palette includes any solid black short and long-sleeved crewneck, collared or button-up shirts and any shade of khaki, black or blue denim bottoms. It will also offer a new line of company branded t-shirts available to partners, who will receive two at no cost—including partner network options.
Last month, Starbucks rolled out its new spring menu featuring the new “iced cherry chai,” which is described as “black tea infused with cinnamon, clove and other warming spices combined with milk and ice. It’s finished with cherry cream cold foam and a sprinkle of cherry crunch topping for the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.” Starbucks also brought back its lavender menu options for the season as well.
