Clipper Petroleum, a family-owned retail brand in the Southeast, has launched its new e-commerce channel through a strategic partnership with Lula Commerce. The initiative introduces local delivery and pickup services across Clipper Petroleum's retail locations in Georgia and South Carolina.

Tony Legg, director of operational compliance and programs at Clipper Petroleum, said, “We are very pleased with the results we have seen in the partnership with Lula Commerce. Their support team has been great to work with and help deliver results. They keep us updated on store performance, training videos and site-level support to help deliver our products to our customers.”

According to a press release, Lula Commerce’s managed services enable Clipper Petroleum to delegate all digital commerce operations, allowing the brand to focus on core business activities while benefiting from enhanced brand visibility and incremental sales through additional channels. The press release adds that the partnership “effectively frees up approximately 2.7 full-time resources, allowing Clipper Petroleum to efficiently scale its digital commerce operations.”

"We're excited to partner with Clipper Petroleum and unlock online channels for additional sales. Over the past few months, we've seen significant incremental demand from new customers who have discovered Clipper through digital channels. The direction that Clipper’s leadership is taking is truly impressive, and it's a pleasure to strategically support their efforts in delivering exceptional outcomes for the brand," said Adit Gupta, co-founder and CEO, Lula Commerce.

In 2015, Clipper Petroleum launched its first mobile app. “The partnership with Lula Commerce represents their next step in this journey, enabling Clipper to expand its digital capabilities and further enhance its customer experience through seamless delivery and pickup services,” the companies said in a press release.

Since the initial launch in February 2024, Clipper Petroleum has already served over 5,000 shoppers through its new digital platforms, marking a significant milestone in its digital transformation.
