Halloween isn’t just for costumes and candy—it is also a time when some c-stores and QSRs offer customers scary good deals to get into the spirit of the holiday. Yesterday, deals ranged from discounts to freebies for those in costume.
Here’s a list of how these retailers got into the Halloween spirit with customers yesterday:
QuikTrip joined the trick or treating festivities yesterday, offering children dressed in costume a free vanilla ice cream cone. The treat was only available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and to kids 12 or under in costume.
Stewart’s Shops also offered its customers an ice cream deal for the holiday: 99 cent cones. The deal was available to all customers, costume or not, on all ice cream flavors.
On October 30 and 31, 7-Eleven offered its customers a BOGO pizza deal for whole pizzas. 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members were able to buy one whole pizza and get another whole pizza for free at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores and delivered via 7Now.
As part of GrubHub’s Gold Days of GrubHub+ promotion, Wawa offered customers 20% off $25+ when you order a pizza (up to $15 off) from October 28 through November 3. And according to GrubHub, Halloween is one of the most popular days for ordering pizza. In 2023, Grubhub customers ordered more than twice as many pizzas on Halloween compared to the days before and after the holiday.

Chicken-QSR Bojangles went all-in on Halloween with its debut of its new LTO menu item Bo Bites, which are bite-sized, hand-breaded chicken tender pieces. To launch the new menu item, ahead of Halloween the restaurant chain transformed its flagship store in Charlotte, North Carolina, into “Boojangles, an immersive, Halloween-themed drive-thru experience that sent shivers down customers' spines.” In addition to the experience, Bojangles is offering its customers 20% off any Bo Bites combo with the promo code “RIPNuggets,” which is valid through November 3 at participating restaurants.
In another ongoing deal, Insomnia Cookies is offering any customer in costume a free cookie through Sunday, November 3.
Wendy’s got into the spirit with its new limited edition meal bundle, Boo! Bags. The bundle includes a Dave's Single, small fry, small Frosty, a glow-in-the-dark Bone Chiller Frosty figure and a Boo! Books coupon book. The coupons include coupons for five free jr. Frosty treats, and a sixth bonus coupon to redeem a $1.99 Wendy's kids' meal with any purchase. Boo! Books will be available for purchase through November 3. The company said that every Boo! Books coupon book sold in a Boo! Bag or individually benefits foster care adoption.
Pizza Hut introduced its new My Haunt Box, which includes a “garlicky Personal Fang Pizza with a choice of fries or wings starting at $6.99.”
Papa John’s brought back its Jack-O’-Lantern Pizza, starting at $9.99. The pizza is shaped like a Jack-o’-lantern and topped with pepperoni (in the shape of a smiley face) on a large thin crust.
Rewards members at Qdoba received a “BOOGO” deal from the restaurant on October 31. When a rewards member bought an entrée and drink on Halloween, they received a free entrée.
Chipotle brought back its Boorito, offering its rewards members who dressed in costume a $6 entrée, beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until close. The QSR also brought back its Boorito After Hours event, where restaurants among the college towns that eat the most Chipotle had extended hours on Halloween, offering the Boorito deal until midnight.
Customers who came to Krispy Kreme on Halloween in costume received a free original glazed doughnut, no purchase necessary. The doughnut chain also offered a new Ghostbusters doughnut collection and a new themed drink to celebrate the holiday.
Smashburger offered an online flash sale on gift cards from October 30 to October 31. When a customer purchased a gift card, they also unlocked Halloween food discounts at participating Smashburger locations.
