Fortune Magazine has included Sheetz on its list of the 20 Best Large Workplaces in Retail for 2023, coming in third overall, following only Wegmans Food Markets and Target.

One employee stated, “The culture is amazing—the fact that you can have a virtual meeting and almost everyone takes the time to say thank you at the end says a lot. The way that everyone works together, and for the greater good of the company.”

To determine the Best Large Workplaces in Retail, Fortune partnered with analytics firm Great Place to Work, which surveys employees around the world about their experiences. The firm analyzed survey feedback from more than 133,000 U.S. employees.

This year, Sheetz was also named as one of People magazine’s 100 Companies That Care 2023. The magazine highlighted the Sheetz for the Kidz Holiday program. One Sheetz customer, and beneficiary of the program, said, “Our house burned down in October, leaving us with seven devastated children, one of whom is battling cancer. After losing everything, SFTK was the blessing our family needed to get through the holiday season with a sense of hope. It meant everything to us when we needed it most.”

Last year, Sheetz was also on Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Retail list at No. 3, as well as their list of 100 Best Large Workplaces for Women, coming in at No. 98. The company also made an appearance on People magazine’s 100 Companies That Care 2022.
