ROCHESTER, N.Y.Seagram’s Escapes unveiled a compact 7.5 oz. can aimed at generating trial for the brand, the company announced. Available in Seagram’s Escapes flavors Jamaican Me Happy, Strawberry Daiquiri, Peach Bellini and Calypso Colada, the 7.5 oz. can will be available at retail for around a dollar. At that same price point, Seagram’s Escapes Spiked with a higher ABV (8%) will be available in 7.5 oz. cans in the flavors Jamaican Me Happy and the new Pineapple Cherry Lime. All flavors will remain available in traditional Seagram’s Escapes sizes.

“Our team developed this sleek can in our most popular flavors and at an attractive price point to drive trial. Consumers simply grab their favorite flavor to enjoy immediately or mix with their favorite spirit for an amazing cocktail,” said Chuck Buckingham, Seagram’s Escapes brand director.

Merchandising assets available for small and large retailers include a gravity feed 12-shelf floor display, gravity feed under glides, a cooler door vertical hanging rack and bins with refreshed graphics that hold 10-12 cases. The bins include QR codes that drive consumers to www.seagramsescapes.com for recipes.

In December, Seagram’s Escapes announced that it was donating $25,000 to support beach and waterway cleanup efforts in Florida. Seagram’s Escapes describes itself as “a fruit-forward, malt-based beverage brand” that is the “fourth-largest traditional, flavored malt beverage brand in the United States.”

In the convenience retail channel, sales of prepared and RTD cocktails continue to be a boon for retailers, outpacing all other channels in sales and units sold across the first half of 2022 year over year, according to “Cocktail Convenience” in the October issue of NACS Magazine.
