The newest Sheetz location will be located at Romulus Trade Center in Romulus, Michigan, west of Detroit. The location will be 6,900 square feet with 12 vehicle fueling stations and five truck fueling stations.

Brian Dinges, assistant vice president of real estate for Sheetz, said in an email to Crain’s, “Our goal is to continue working collaboratively with city officials in Romulus to open this location in the latter part of 2024.” He continued, “While it is too early in the development process to provide a timeline or location for any additional stores, our goal is to offer Michigan residents the ultimate one-stop shop to fuel their bodies and their vehicles.” He stated that the company has "ambitious plans" to grow throughout the state, as well as into Toledo, Ohio. The company told the Detroit Free Press that it aims to have more than 75 locations in Michigan.

The Sheetz is located at a new development funded by Northpoint Development, which is investing more than $130 million into the site, which will have more than two million square feet of office and warehouse space.
Sheetz recently opened an office in Pittsburgh that will serve as a hub for new innovations and technology development. It will house 70 employees.
