Retailer Participation Needed for U.S. Economic Census

Participation is critical to capturing the full impact of c-stores on local, state and national economies.

July 03, 2023

It’s not too late to complete your economic census form. Every five years, the U.S. economic census tracks America’s industries, workforce and sales by product and service type. It collects essential data such as ownership, business functions, locations, number of employees and 2022 year-end payroll and revenue.

Earlier this year, over four million employers received forms from the U.S. Census Bureau to report 2022 year-end numbers.

If your business received an invitation and you have not yet responded, please log in to portal.census.gov to access your account. Note: If book figures are not available for specific items, a good estimate is acceptable.

Economic census data provides critical insights on every industry and market at national, state and local levels. Results help determine the gross domestic product and other leading economic indicators. More information is available via the U.S. Census Bureau.
