Rutter’s Raised $1.2 Million in Charitable Donations Last Year

The company added new fundraising programs in 2022.

YORK, Pa.—Rutter’s and Rutter’s Children’s Charities announce its charitable donations reached a new record of $1.2 million in 2022.

Throughout the year, Rutter’s and Rutter’s Children’s Charities hold several fundraising events and programs as a way for Rutter’s employees, suppliers and customers to participate in charitable giving throughout their communities. Some of the annual charitable efforts include Rutter’s Charity Cannister Program, Secret Santa, Feeding the Frontline and Rutter’s Children’s Charities’ Golf Outing.

Rutter’s and Rutter’s Children’s Charities added new fundraising programs in 2022—Youth Sports League Giveaway and $100k for the Holidays. Each program benefits local charities with specific needs or projects throughout the year.

“We’re very privileged to be in the position to continue our charitable giving throughout 2022,” said Chris Hartman, president of Rutter’s Children’s Charities. “We’re eager to continue our support of children, families and our local communities.”

Rutter’s Children’s Charities new program, $100k for the Holidays, donated $25,000 to four charities that focus on benefitting children. This year’s recipients included Girls on the Run Mid State PA, Home Nursing Agency Foundation, Hospice Community Care and Blair Regional YMCA.

“This amazing donation means that girls will be able to participate in low cost or no cost Girls on the Run programs throughout York County," said Gillian Byerly, executive director, Girls on the Run Mid State PA. “We are deeply grateful that Rutters shares our vision of a world where every girl knows her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.”

Rutter’s charitable giving in 2022 also included over $210,000 in food donations to the Central PA Food Bank’s Retail Donation Program.
