ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Registration is open for the biggest global event in convenience: 2022 NACS Show, taking place October 1-4 in Las Vegas. After enduring more than two years of disruption, the convenience industry is ready to move forward into the future—full speed ahead.
This year’s NACS Show theme “Full Speed Ahead” builds on the momentum of last year’s theme “We Got This.” The industry is moving beyond the pandemic and defining the future of convenience.

“The value of convenience continues to grow as customers continually redefine what it means to them,” said Henry Armour, NACS president and CEO. “It is more important than ever to see and hear how trends can—and are—impacting retail.”
Many consumers are ready to leave the confines of virtual and telecommuting environments for real-world, real-time business, and convenience professionals are more prepared than ever to regain momentum, meet new challenges and continue innovating full speed ahead.
“The industry is moving ahead at full speed, and the 2022 show will continue to focus on advancing the business objectives of the convenience industry,” said Armour.
Industry members will learn from each other, discover the latest products and innovation and gather information on top industry trends at this year’s show. There will be 425,000 square feet of expo space, featuring more than 1,200 exhibitors across five categories of interest: Merchandise, Candy & Snacks, Technology, Facility Development & Store Operations, Fuel Equipment & Services, Food Equipment & Foodservice Programs.
Back again this year, the Cool New Products Preview Room will provide attendees an up-close look at industry novelties, trends and must-haves. Plus, scan hundreds of new products using the official NACS Show mobile app to create your own shopping list and prioritize must-see exhibitors and products on the show floor. And the New Exhibitor Area, a crowd favorite, lets attendees be the first to engage with the latest technology, equipment, products and companies entering the convenience store market, including emerging categories.
Each year, NACS Show education offers critical expertise in key areas such as foodservice, technology, leadership and operations. This year’s 45+ education sessions were ideated and crafted by the Convention Content Committee—peers in the industry—with the goal of delivering the most relevant and stimulating content for NACS Show attendees, including labor, supply-chain disruption, inflation and recession concerns. The education provided at the NACS Show will be more about convening and guiding—and facilitating a conversation that might lead to solutions.
Look for education sessions to be announced in June.
This year, NACS is hosting two pre-conference events that attendees can register for along with their NACS Show registration:
- NACS Advanced Category Management Certification workshop, where category management professionals can earn their NACS Certified Convenience Advanced Category Management certification through the completion of a hands-on, six-hour education session.
- NACS Food Safety Conference. New this year, food safety, foodservice, quality and assurance and risk management professionals will lead a first-of-its-kind industry-specific event for the global convenience retail community.
NACS is also hosting four hands-on training workshops to help solve the challenges unique to smaller operators. Attendance is limited to the first 45 retailers who arrive, and no pre-registration is required.
You won’t want to miss this year’s NACS Show to regain momentum in your business—full speed ahead.
