NEW YORK – Fortune revealed is annual list of the top 100 places to work in the United States, naming Tulsa, Oklahoma-based QuikTrip (#68, up from #76 in 2016) to the rankings for the 15th consecutive year.
“Employees build careers at this convenience-store operator, which has unusually low staff turnover. More than 600 people have been at the company for more than 20 years. Part of the secret sauce is healthy profit-sharing bonuses, along with job counseling and tuition reimbursement. Says one staffer: ‘This company makes everyone feel important,’” writes Fortune.
Overwhelmingly QuikTrip employees say the company provides them with the resources they need to do their jobs, that they receive special and unique benefits, are proud to tell others they work at QuikTrip, that the facilities contribute to a good working environment, and that QuikTrip management is competent at running the business.
QuikTrip ranks 95% or higher among employees for providing great challenges, atmosphere, rewards, pride, communication and bosses. Overall, 93% of QuikTrip employees agree that their workplace is great.
Fortune also named Mars to its top 100 list at #50 and convenience retailer Sheetz at #87.
