In December, RaceTrac team members across multiple regions volunteered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America as part of the company’s partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “From crafts to games, our team members celebrated the holidays by creating meaningful moments with kids in their communities,” RaceTrac posted on LinkedIn.

Over at Weigel’s, the retailer held the Weigel’s Family Christmas event in early December. The retailer said the event “brought smiles, excitement and a little bit of magic to kids in our communities. We are thankful for our partners at the Boys & Girls Club and the Salvation Army, who stand alongside us to make this day truly special. This tradition exists to give kids a Christmas they deserve,” Weigel’s posted on LinkedIn.

Wawa will return as the presenting sponsor of the 35th annual Lewes Polar Bear Plunge benefiting the Special Olympics Delaware.

“Join us in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday, February 1, and stop by the Wawa Community Care Truck for a FREE cup of coffee to keep you warm before you take the plunge. Your support—and Wawa’s—helps thousands of Special Olympics Delaware athletes achieve their dreams,” the Special Olympics Delaware posted on LinkedIn.

Meanwhile at Stewart’s Shops, the retailer recently concluded its 40th annual Holiday Match campaign, raising more than $1.8 million to support local children’s charities.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of Stewart’s customers, who donated more than $900,000 during this year’s campaign. Stewart’s doubled every donation and there were no administrative fees,” the retailer said.

Stewart’s said the money will benefit nonprofit organizations that help children in New York and Vermont.
