Nashville-based Twice Daily, owned by Tri Star Energy, was recently honored at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The hospital named its cafe the Twice Daily Cafe in honor of the retailer’s “commitment to transforming pediatric healthcare in Middle Tennessee for over two decades,” according to an emailed press release.

The café celebrates Tri Star Energy’s $2 million pledge over the next five years to support the Patient and Family-Centered Care Program.

“Twice Daily … began a partnership with Monroe Carell in 2000, the same year the Nashville-based company was founded. By 2002, Tri Star launched the annual Twice Daily Golf Cup, a charity tournament that has become a cornerstone of the hospital’s fundraising efforts. What started as a single golf event has grown into a multifaceted partnership that has raised more than $5 million for the hospital and raised a new record this year of $450,000, demonstrating continued momentum,” the company said.

Through the years, Twice Daily stores have hosted in-store balloon campaigns, sold thermal cups and holiday cards featuring patient artwork and participated in Miracle Jeans Day fundraisers. The company also established the Tri Star Energy Chaplain Fund in 2020, providing around-the-clock spiritual care for families during their most challenging moments.

“Naming the cafe after Twice Daily represents more than just philanthropy. It represents a true partnership built on shared values and a commitment to our community’s children,” said Steve Perry, COO of Tri Star Energy. “From our first golf tournament 25 years ago to today’s $2 million commitment, we’ve watched this hospital grow and expand its reach, and we’re proud to have played a role in that journey.”

In April 2025, Twice Daily in collaboration with Fund Recovery, installed Nashville’s first-ever naloxone vending machine available at a convenience store. “This groundbreaking initiative, located at Twice Daily’s store on 1702 West End Ave., makes life-saving opioid overdose reversal medication accessible to the community 24/7, free of charge,” Twice Daily said at the time.
