Friendly Express Rolls Out New Mobile App Experience

The app allows mobile ordering, gamified features and an Employee Exclusives section.

Georgia-based Friendly Express just launched a redesigned mobile app, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS. The company said it is making it easier to order ahead, pay at the pump and earn rewards.

Built on the Rovertown platform, the new app brings together Friendly Express Rewards (powered by Velocity Logic), Express Debit (powered by PDI) and ordering and delivery (powered by Vroom Delivery) into one experience. Behind the scenes, “the Friendly Express team has full control—allowing them to fine-tune the user experience and ensure the app reflects how customers prefer to shop, save and engage,” the retailer said.

“With this launch, we’re giving our guests more ways than ever to connect with Friendly Express,” added David Turner, president at Friendly Express. “From earning rewards to paying at the pump and unlocking fun prizes, it’s all about making every interaction faster, easier and more rewarding.”

The app’s new integration with Paylocity will also offer Employee Exclusives directly in the app. “Our employees are the heart of Friendly Express. These app-exclusive offers give them new ways to stay engaged, informed and excited about promoting our products and brand,” stated Raul Buenrostro, director of marketing at Friendly Express.

The app also includes gamified features—the Friendly Arcade offers a rotating selection of games where guests earn redeemable coins for pizza, fountain drinks and more. A separate Scratch & Win game provides daily opportunities to instantly win prizes.
