Love’s Travel Stops has earned the 2026 Silver Military Friendly Employer designation, which recognizes the company’s commitment to hiring, retaining and advancing members of the military community. Love’s is one of only three Oklahoma-based companies to earn the Silver Military Friendly Employer designation or higher, the retailer said. Love’s stated that its late founder, Tom Love, was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
The Military Friendly Employer designation is awarded to organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to military inclusion and veteran support. Institutions earning the designation are evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.
Love’s said it continues to invest in programs and initiatives that help veterans and military spouses build rewarding careers and thrive in civilian life. The company’s dedication to supporting the military community is reflected in its hiring and recruiting practices, career development opportunities, veteran’s employee resource group and ongoing outreach efforts such as partnerships and employee volunteer work with Operation Homefront, Cameron-Brooks, Recruit Military, TAPs and the Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation.
“Veterans and military spouses bring invaluable skills, leadership and integrity to the workforce and we’re proud to not only recruit and welcome them to our team but to help them transition to civilian life and build lasting, meaningful careers here at Love’s,” said Les Thompson, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Love’s. “Earning the Military Friendly Employer designation reflects our ongoing commitment to the military community and Love’s culture.”
In other recent Love’s news, last month the retailer said it continues to work on its EV charging expansion across the United States with the installation of 11 new stations located in Colorado.
