Wawa has added Dill Pickle Ranch to its menu, reported Allrecipes. “The pickle-infused ranch sauce is an option on breakfast, lunch and dinner items. In addition, Wawa has also added crispy pickles to its menu,” the outlet said.
According to the report, a few of the items available with Wawa’s Dill Pickle Ranch sauce include the Dill Pickle Ranch breakfast hoagie made with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon and Dill Pickle Ranch on a long roll; the Dill Pickle Ranch breaded chicken wrap with breaded chicken, cheese, crispy pickles and lettuce; a Dill Pickle Ranch pizza; and a Dill Pickle Ranch breaded chicken mac and cheese, which is a macaroni and cheese bowl topped with breaded chicken strips, crispy pickles and Dill Pickle Ranch sauce.
“Adding pickles to everything under the sun isn't exactly new, but there seems to be no end in sight. In an interview with AP last year, Alex Plakias, who teaches the philosophy of food at Hamilton College in New York, said the pickle can be ‘all things to all people,’” wrote Allrecipes.
Last November, Casey’s introduced the limited-time Pickle Wrap Pizza, a twist on a classic Midwest appetizer.
The Pickle Wrap Pizza was available at select locations in Minnesota and Iowa for a limited time. The pizza featured Casey’s made-from-scratch dough and was topped with Philadelphia whipped cream cheese, chopped ham, smoky bacon, real mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and thick-cut pickles, on both original or thin crust.
The company said the pizza’s “tangy, crunchy layers deliver a bold, on-trend flavor that will excite guests.”
