7-Eleven is ushering in summer with new sweet and spicy flavors on its menu. The company launched its all-new Mangonada donut with Tajin seasoning and a limited-edition peach candy lemonade Slurpee drink at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores.

The new Mangonada donut, inspired by the Mexican frozen drink of the same name, is a honeymooner donut filled with a mixture of mango and chamoy and sprinkled with Tajin and sugar. According to the company, “The sweet and spicy combination creates a multi-dimensional flavor profile.”

For customers who want to enjoy a sweet treat without heat, 7-Eleven introduced a new Slurpee flavor, peach candy lemonade, which the company said is inspired by the new 7-Select gummi peach rings.

"It's our favorite time of year—Slurpee drink season—and we’re looking forward to bringing our customers innovative new flavors all summer long, like the new peach candy lemonade flavor," said Dennis Phelps, senior vice president, merchandising (vault and proprietary beverages). "We’re always on the lookout for the latest trends to bring exciting new additions to the menu, including diving into sweet and spicy flavors with the new Mangonada donut."

Along with the announcement of new menu items, 7-Eleven said that 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can get a small Slurpee drink for just $1 or any size Slurpee drink and bagged candy for $2 this summer.

Sweet and spicy is a popular flavor trend for the summer. In April, Starbucks launched its latest beverage lineup of spicy lemonade refreshers, which it said was inspired by “the ‘swicy’ trend, which combines sweet and spicy flavors in all sorts of creative ways.”
