As a summer celebration, Kent Kwik announced it is bringing back its long-standing summer promotion: the 89-cent, 32 oz fountain or iced tea drink. The promotion, designed to bring “joy and refreshment to your summer days,” will run through the beginning of August.
Claiming fame for its chewy ice that “sets its drinks apart,” the retailer highlighted drink combos that can be made to capitalize on the promotion, like fruit punch with a splash of soda.
Other retailers announced summer drink promotions this month ahead of hot, thirst-quenching months. Circle K dubbed itself “America’s Thirst Stop,” announcing it would offer Polar Pop and Froster at any size for 79 cents from May through August. Even sweeter, the company said, customers who are a part of Circle K’s membership program, Inner Circle, can enjoy the same offer starting at 69 cents using the Circle K app.
Dutch Bros Coffee announced its summer drink lineup through June 30, bringing back the brand’s seasonal Mangonada Rebel. The drink is inspired by the iconic Mexican treat and is an “energizing take on a classic [that] features a mix of Dutch Bros' exclusive energy drink, Rebel and mangonada flavor topped with strawberry fruit and Tajín.” The brand also released two new drink flavors: Churro Freeze and Watermelon Fizz.
Last week, Kent Kwik acquired Jack’s Convenience stores in an eight-store portfolio deal, bringing its total store count to 111 locations in eight states along with over 150 dealer locations. The company said the acquisition of the stores in Midland, San Angelo and Abilene, Texas, solidified “its leadership position in the west Texas markets.”
