Pennsylvania-based Rutter's is bringing back its limited-time Spam menu through the end of October, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.

"It's time to swap out your ham for Spam, egg and cheese!" said Chad White, Rutter's food service category manager. "We're very excited to bring Spam back by popular demand!"

The retailer said there are eight different Spam menu items available any time of day. The breakfast choices are Spam, egg and cheese on either a waffle, croissant, pretzel roll or in a breakfast bowl or burrito. For lunch and dinner, customers can add Spam to their mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches and American cheeseburgers.

This marks the fourth year that Rutter's has partnered with Hormel Food Corporation to put Spam on the menu.

"It's an incredible partnership with both our iconic brands," said Phil Santini, Rutter's senior director of food service and bar strategy.

In other recent Rutter's news, the retailer has opened two locations in recent months each featuring a 21+ on-site bar and gaming lounge, with five video gaming terminals (VGTs) and 75 alcoholic beverage options, including canned cocktails, beer and wine, plus exclusive bundle deals and access to Rutter's foodservice menu.
